Finding a 3PL in the US
Updated 2026-10-31
The US is big, so where the warehouse sits matters more than in most countries. A parcel going coast to coast takes longer and costs more than one going a few states over.
You can browse 3PLs based in the United States in our directory.
One warehouse or several
Look at where your orders go. If most go to one part of the country, one warehouse near them is usually fine. If they're spread out, a 3PL with warehouses on both sides can cut delivery times. Ask how they split stock and what it costs to keep two locations topped up.
Things to check
- Which carriers they use and whether they offer cheaper ground options.
- Whether they do Amazon FBA prep or retail orders if you sell there too.
- Sales tax: ask your accountant whether stock in a new state changes anything for you.
- Cut-off times and the time zone they work in.

Questions people ask
Do I need more than one 3PL warehouse in the US?
Not always. Look at where your customers are. If orders are spread across the country, a 3PL with warehouses in more than one region can shorten delivery times.
Are the 3PLs in the ForthMatch directory verified?
No, not unless they have claimed their profile. Unclaimed listings come from each company’s public website.
